Compadress

Meaning: A dress that never lets you down.

Function: Noun

Portmanteau Origins: Compadre + Dress

Example: "Every girl has a compadress. Maybe it's that blue sundress you had since you were 16, or the perfect little black dress. Whatever shape, it's a wonderful piece of fabric that never lets you down - like a good friend."

Variations:

Compadresser: A person who without fail always ends up dressing like you at a party.

Compadredge: A "friend" that always feels the need to bring up ugly parts of your past in the company of others under the guise of pleasant conversation.
